Well, it took us 3 1/2 days to get here and some major detours for weather, but we did it.
A quick update on the shows so far:
Thursday, October 25:
Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers Club - All Breed Show
Havanese:
RJ - 1st in Puppy 6 - 9
Zeus - 1st in BBE
Chocobeast - 3rd in Puppy 6 - 9
Selena - 1st in BBE, Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite over the Specials, Best Bred By, 5 point major!
Benson - Best of Breed - and a Group 2 Congrats to Lorette! Benson has sired a beautiful litter of puppies with our BeBe.
Ibizan Hounds:
Quandry - 1st, Winners Dog, Best of Opposite, Best Puppy
Bisque - 1st, Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed - 1 point
Group 5 (Toy) Specialty:
Havanese:
RJ - 1st in Puppy 6 - 9
Zeus - 1st in BBE, Winners Dog, Best of Winners, 5 point major! NEW CKC Champion!!!
Chocobeast - 4th in Puppy 6 - 9
Selena - 1st in BBE, Reserve Winners Bitch.
Zeus should have been Best Bred By, but the Best of Breed winner was mistakenly awarded it, and according to the CKC 'rep' that award will be withdrawn. The rules specify that the dog must be handled at all levels by a breeder-owner and that matted, OK corded, dog was handled in the breed by a professional handler and in the BBE competition by the breeder/owner. Not a good idea, but the they tried to do it so quickly that the spectators are the ones that caught it.
