My Phone

Well anyone who has known me for a few years knows that my phone has been jacked up.  It all started a couple of years ago, when my voicemail would say 'The mailbox is full' if someone wanted to leave me a message.  If I tried to clear the messages, it would say "You have no messages."  So, off to the store I went, and they took the battery out, waited the alotted amout of time, then replaced it and 'reset' something.  It worked fine for about 2 months after that.  Then it did it again.  Repeated the process, and they they showed me what to do 'IF' it ever happened again.  But "you might need to get a new phone."  "Isn't this part of your computer system?" I asked.  Long pause, then "Oh, yeah, you're right."  So, months go by again with no voicemail, and I buy a new phone.  A 'smart' one this time.  (I miss my flip phone - yes I am old!)  Well, it is no smarter than my flip phone.  I have had this phone for over a year and no one can figure out how to fix the voicemail.  Next option is to get a new number.  BUT I AM OLD !!!   I have had this number for a very long time.  I am post-menopausal (which should be incentive enough for them to fix it) and don't want to have to learn a new one.  Remembering the old one is hard enough!

I even let it go dormant, and did not renew it for a month or so to see if everything would 'reset' but it didn't.

What is the point of this rant, you might ask?  Well, last week my phone did not know what day or time it was most of the weekend, so I slept very little in fear of oversleeping for our early ring times.  This week my phone has gone from severe dimentia to a coma.  It wakes occasionally, but you don't know if it will be coherent, or for how long it will remain awake.

I went to look for a new one, but ended up buying a new camcorder instead, so that we could take puppy videos.

If you need to reach me, please email or call Dave's phone.

THANKS !!!!
