I want to THANK everyone who has done so well with puppies that they have gotten from us.  Dave and I are thrilled with your every win, (Yes, even when you beat us) and could not be more proud.  So many of you have done so much, and I hope have enjoyed the ride. 

I want to APOLOGIZE for those times, which I am sure exist but hope have been very few and far between, when we might have missed an opportunity to congratulate you on a win, or reaching a milestone, or just a chance to give you moral support when you needed it.

Several years ago, we went through a situation with breeders who did whatever they could to 'bad mouth' us, especially when we won.  The problem:  our pup would beat his parents. 

That should be NO PROBLEM, for a breeder since the entire purpose of breeding is to breed better than you have and that is what they did - multiple times.  They just couldn't see it.  It was sad. 

They did what a good breeder is supposed to do.  Produce better dogs, and all they could see was that they were not winning with the parents.

OK, no you are asking yourself, why you are wasting time reading this, and why is she rambling?  I am very sad about a breeder & co-owner who cannot bring himself to congratulate us on some major wins.  Not even one like on any of the photos, brags, or ads that are on facebook. 

What he doesn't get is, just like the aforementioned breeder, all we are doing is having fun winning and advertising THEIR breeding program.  People can't buy a puppy from us.  We only have a male.  Who are they going to go to for a puppy like ours? 

OUR BREEDERS!!!!  Did we piss them off by winning?  I guess so.

Their latest Group Placements and Best in Show have put them at the top of the AKC Havanese Rankings in the NOHS.  They have also breached the top 100 in All-Breed, coming in at #81.

We are so proud of what Carol has done with this boy!  After almost a year off due to knee surgery and subsequent recovery, she still isn't "Miss Zippy around the ring" and has only shown a handful of times this year, yet have reached this wonderful milestone!

OUR Havanese:  CH That's A Real Shoe In Eh - aka Imelda was added to the Havanese Gallery today by someone other than one of her owners.  Below is a screen shot of the entry.  Much of the information is incorrect.  I think I know who it was, but why would anyone do that with a 12 year old dog?  I have contacted the person who owns the Havanese Gallery with proof that she is ours, but I guess it's welcome to America again.  Doesn't cost someone anything to cause you problems, but can cost you a lot to prove that they are wrong!  Wondering if that is why there are duplicates of so many dogs on the Gallery?

The AKC still does not see the conflict of interest in Mr. Sosa being a show photographer (a bad one at that) and a judge, but we do!  We won't show to him unless we have no choice with a specials dog, but otherwise we will not put ourselves in that position.  We entered the BRT in hopes that there would be a judge change.  Dave showed him in the breed ring, but not in group.  In the breed ring, Varias shook his head, as dogs are apt to do, ears and hair flopping away.  Mr. Sosa jumped back, arms in the air, like he was ready to make a scene.  What a dufus!!!  Couldn't risk him (the judge, not Varias) doing something else stupid in the group ring, so it was best to not show Varias in Group.

BUNNY - 3rd :(  Not sure what happened here.  Bunny was definitely shown.  She is sitting at 14 points and we are now chasing that last point.  Online results show her absent, and show that our Juliette was 3rd in the class.  We entered Juliette in hopes that Bunny would finish early in the weekend, and we could get Juliette started.  Either the book was incorrectly marked or Dave's help picked up the wrong armband.  So glad she didn't win today, or it would be a royal pain trying to get this straightened out.

Kansas Toy Dog Club, Thursday, April 7, 2016 Park City, KS

For those of you who don't recognize 'Park City, KS' or may have heard the name - it is where they BTK Serial Killer was from.

The show was at the Kansas Coliseum, formerly located in Valley Center, KS, a northern suburb of Wichita, KS.  I think Park City must have annexed the area because the Coliseum did not move, and the rest of the address did not really change, just the city.

Toddie did what Toddie does.  A whole slew of great specials to choose from and she puts up a puppy for breed.  Several years ago when I started to notice that pattern, I started a spread sheet for her judging.  It happens in more breeds than just Havanese, but Mrs. Clark was at about 97% for putting up a Havanese puppy for breed when there were nice specials, available to choose from.  Things that make you go "Hmmm?"

OK, so I was gone for a while.  
One of my Aunts passed away and I went out of state for her funeral.  Then on to a long planned celebration for one of my sisters' 50th Birthday.  
Dave had already committed to the Wichita show so was unable to join us.  I will be posting the results from those shows as well as for our other puppy wins across the country, shortly.
